The late Paul Ramsay AO established the Foundation in his name in 2006 and, after his death in 2014, left most of his estate to continue his philanthropy for generations to come.

Ending cycles of disadvantage is an enormously complex challenge that cannot be solved alone, quickly, or with simple solutions. It’s why we collaborate with communities and organisations to collectively disrupt disadvantage, recognise and build on strengths, and enable opportunities for people and communities to thrive.
Since 2016, we have committed more than $800 million in grant funding to 200 partners.
We commission research to help us take an evidence-based approach to our philanthropy, and share knowledge and insights with those who can translate it into meaningful action.
