Patrick leads PRF’s government affairs including managing our role as one of the founders of the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children.

He has spent most of his career coming up with schemes to change the written and unwritten rules that keep some people in our communities marginalised while others get ahead. He’s a social change leader who's spent more than 20 years seeking to understand the root causes of some of Australia’s most entrenched social problems; identifying evidence-based solutions and coming up with creative strategies to see those solutions adopted by decision makers – whether it requires changes in policy, funding, practice, new institutions, collaborations, or services to be rolled out.

He has worked in non-profits, Government and the corporate sector including leading Policy and Advocacy as well as Marketing and Communications as a member of the executive at Social Ventures Australia. Prior to joining SVA he was Head of Policy and Advocacy at Mission Australia, and has advised and worked with CEOs, political leaders, Ambassadors and Heads of State on media and communications strategy during his time at the Delegation of the European Union to Australian and New Zealand, in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet APEC and CHOGM Taskforces. Patrick has also worked as media advisor to Tom Calma, the then Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner and launched the policy agenda for Elizabeth Broderick, Sex Discrimination Commissioner at the Human Rights Commission. He is a former Chair of advocacy organisation The Parenthood.
