Community Broadcasting Association of Australia

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia builds strong and successful community broadcasters. More than 450 stations deliver over 500 services, providing a voice for communities not well served by other media: First Nations people, print-disabled, culturally diverse, faith-based, youth, seniors and the LGBTQIA+ communities.

Who are we?

"Participant feedback about From the Embers season 1 was universally positive. Community members felt relieved to tell their stories, which helped the healing process."

Jon Bisset, CBAA CEO

What are we doing?

How can we amplify community voice and continue the conversation about resilience and healing following on from the 2019/2020 Australian bushfires?

Community Broadcasting Association of Australia - From the Embers Podcast, Series 2

Supporting the production of a podcast - From the Embers - to provide a platform, through storytelling, for people and communities affected by the 2019/20 bushfires to tell their stories, as part of building an understanding of community experience and contributing to community healing.
