Berry Street Victoria

Berry Street works tirelessly to help children, young people and families who have experienced and been traumatised by the impacts of family violence, abuse and neglect to heal, with hope for the future. As one of Australia’s largest independent family service organisations, we provide an extensive range of services across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria. Most support systems only kick in when families reach crisis point. We want to shift the system so that children and families get help as soon as they need it, and victim–survivors of family violence get the support they need to recover.

What are we doing?

Mother-Infant Village

MI Village exists to provide support and therapeutic services for adult and child victim-survivors of domestic family violence. The holistic and trauma-informed program supports victim-survivors to heal and rebuild their lives free from violence in a safe and supported setting. It is an early-intervention and therapeutic model of care, aimed at reducing threats to personal and psychological safety, while promoting recovery, connection and healing.
