Many of PRF’s partner organisations employ staff dedicated to supporting individuals or families to access complex service systems including early childhood education, health, prison release, social services and housing.
With not much known about this specialised workforce, we commissioned dandolopartners to do an initial exploration of these “Linker” roles. The resulting report, Understanding Linkers, was published in March 2022. In November 2022, staff from 13 partner organisations came together to share their approaches and discuss the challenges and potential of “Linker” roles.
This report shares insights and common experiences flowing from that discussion. The organisations are grappling with some shared challenges and questions, including what is needed to better support their Linker workforce and how to improve access to services in the communities they work with.
