The evaluation commissioned by Paul Ramsay Foundation and completed by Day Four projects, provides a comprehensive summary of the evaluation of the Philanthropic Peer Engagement Program (PPEP).
This program is a collaborative effort to enhance resource mobilisation and build stronger partnerships among peer funders within the philanthropic sector. The evaluation employs a developmental and systems-informed methodology, focusing on participatory approaches. This included roundtable discussions, interviews with PRF colleagues, and engagement with peer funders, assessing the influence of these collaborative dynamics on peer relationships.
Key outcomes of the program include improved relationships characterised by trust and transparency, enhanced knowledge-sharing among funders, and the promotion of efficient philanthropic practices. While the PPEP has successfully fostered collaboration, it has also revealed areas for improvement in PRF’s approach, such as clarity of communication and a better understanding of power dynamics within peer funder relationships. The findings emphasise the importance of intentional collaboration in advancing PRF’s mission and objectives in the philanthropic landscape. This evaluation was commissioned for internal learning purposes and as such has not been published here in its entirety, however if you would like to read a full version please get in touch with us to discuss options.
