Nishara Miles

Nishara manages the Foundation's social enterprise incubator, which aims to grow the pool and impact of social enterprises working to break cycles of disadvantage in Australia.

She has spent much of her career in communications roles across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, with a passion for grassroots community engagement and investment. She is an advocate for insights-led, shared value programs and championed this work in previous roles within rugby league and rugby union, the Department of Defence, the Fred Hollows Foundation and ING Bank (Australia).

Nishara holds a BEcon (Soc Sc) from Sydney University, an MBA from UTS, and a GradCert in Social Impact from UNSW.

She is forever trying to master the art of cooking, but, thankfully, her family has this skill well covered, allowing her to excel at food prep and clean up instead. In her spare time, Nishara enjoys volunteering with her local school’s P&C Association and Nippers at her local surf lifesaving club.
