Maria Simonelli is an author, educator, artist and creative entrepreneur with many years’ experience applying her experience and qualifications in education, science, research and visual arts to provide vibrant and energising approaches to social change.
As a sustainability advocate, she has designed and facilitated numerous programs to build capacity and empower community and government to solve the difficult problems that confront us.
She believes the end game is to bring our best creative capacity to solve the social, environmental and equity problems plaguing this world… starting with our own sphere of influence.
Her most recent project is as founder of The Creative Catalyst and author of numerous books, including in 2021 ‘The Creative Advantage: How the intersection of science and creativity reveals life’s ultimate advantage’.
She is also a visual artist, connecting people through her sculptural works, to cross pollinate and build new ideas. She is past recipient of a Churchill Fellowship, a Melbourne Award (Community Organisation & Contribution to Environment) and a Federal award for Senior Women in Management.
