Cissy Chen

Cissy is part of the partnership team of the Foundation’s Transitions to Employment portfolio. Her professional background is in government and education, with broad experience in partnership and relationship management across different organisational and cross-cultural environments. Before joining the Foundation, she worked in international higher education, facilitating a diverse range of educational partnerships. Previously she worked at the China Venezuela Joint Fund, a multi-billion dollar fund dedicated to support social and economic programs in Venezuela, where she acted as the central coordination point of the Fund, while overseeing a portfolio of programs focused on infrastructure and urban development. Cissy is driven by making a difference and is passionate about bridging the communication gap to bring meaningful projects and partnerships to life.

Cissy holds a Master’s degree in international business and social impact & sustainability from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor’s degree in production engineering. Having grown up in Latin America, Cissy is fluent in Mandarin, Spanish and English. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, exploring the city and trying different cuisines.
